Barry is a quality and operations management professional with extensive experience in leading quality management systems in the medical device, telecommunications and contract manufacturing industries.
Over a 25-year span, Barry has held VP and GM level responsibilities in both multinational corporations and entrepreneurial startups. Throughout he has led the quality management organization and achieved initial and continuing ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and TL 9000 registrations with scopes inclusive of hardware, software, service, design and development, supply chain, internally and externally provided manufacturing and new product introduction.
Barry is the owner and lead auditor of Sharp Assessments, LLC, servicing registrars for 3rd party assessments. He is Exemplar Global certified as a Lead auditor in ISO 13485:2016, ISO 27001:2017, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015. He is certified through the Quest Forum as a TL 9000 Practioner and Lead Auditor of TL 9000 R6.0 / M5.5.
Barry holds a Master’s degree in business administration from Boston College in Chestnut Hill. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
